gites are situated in Thônes, a
village of 5000 inhabitants, in
the heart of the valley joining
Annecy and the lake (12 km) to
the famous ski resorts of Aravis,
Grand Bornand and La Clusaz (10
km). You can also visite Chamonix
(50 km) and Mont Blanc,
one of the world's major
attractions with its glaciers and
neighboring mountains. You
are 5 minutes on foot trow the
town centre, its businesses and
the numerous activities. Thônes
is particularly worthy of
exploration due to its town
square, old church and deep
savoyard roots. In 500 m is
situated the first farm where we
can find the famous cheese
reblochon. The closest hiking
trails are behind the house;
Laurent, mountain leader and
mountain bike instructor will
advise you on this magnificent
corner of Haute-Savoie.
The
gites have been renewed in an old
farm. They are totally
independent, possessing each
their garden or terrace.
Outside
games are at your disposal (Swings,
table tennis, Pétanque...) as
well as a common premise where
you will find washer, freezer,
ski-cupboards, space for fishing
rods and material, kitchen sink
for the cleaning of fish or
material...
The
children can play in the garden
in complete safety and
tranquility, shielded from the
traffic.
